28 State Street is a 573,000 square foot Class A high-rise tower positioned in the heart of Government Center. The 40-story office tower is just steps away from Boston, MA State Street’s Financial District and historic Faneuil Hall. Many other important landmarks surround the property such as Boston City Hall Plaza and the Old State House.
The building was designed in 1968 by Emery Roth & Sons. In 1996, 28 State Street went through a complete building renovation, closing the site. During this time, the building underwent a significant lobby renovation, the creation of the outdoor seating park, and other improvements to the Class-A tower.
28 State Street is easy accessible from public transit. The MBTA’s Blue and Orange Line have service stops just steps away from the building’s main entrances. The Government Center Green Line service stop is adjacent to the building. Both North and South Station, for the Commuter Rail, are a 10 minute walk from the property.
